SARCF Training Program to Prepare for NASAR SARTECH II Certification

THE GOLD STANDARD IN CERTIFICATION FOR SAR PERSONNEL
The National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) has established a set of certifications for SAR personnel recognized by many states and agencies. The SARTECH II level of certification is the intermediate level and recommended for any person who functions on SAR missions as field searchers. The SARCF team does not deploy individuals into the field in an organized search without this certification.
THE TRUTH ABOUT BECOMING CERTIFIED AS A NASAR SARTECH II
To become a SARTECH II, you simply need to successfully pass a series of written and practical examinations that test your levels of SAR knowledge and skills. These examinations are based on the NASAR Certification Criteria for SARTECH II. According to NASAR, they have also been submitted for review to the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for their consideration in their standards development.
To challenge the SARTECH II examination an individual is not required to complete any prerequisites. Completion of supplemental training program or any other NASAR sponsored courses prior to challenging the certification examination is a voluntary choice on the part of the candidate.
